Reeb's

That street sign pisses me off. I've shot this place poorly so many times, and this looked like I'd finally gotten it right ... then I noticed the street sign.

Back to the drawing board, I guess.

Ah, there's always an ugly streetsign poking in to the otherwise lovely vista of our lives, don't you think? x

Nah, the street sign works. It's all part of the location, the sense of place. And Champion is such a good name for a street.

There is truth in this.

Thank you, gentlemen. I feel a little better.

Love this shot. I drove by here last week when I was in town and took note, but didn't take a photo. Columbus is such an interesting place; I wish I'd been in more of a photo-taking mood when I was there.

i could see us sitting here having breakfast before a photo outing.

such a great shot. did you ever visit the original resch's on the opposite corner?

Thanks, Ralph! Columbus is interesting? I don't hear that often.

It's just too bad we can't ever have a breakfast here, Angie. Npe, I don't think I even knew that the original Resch's was there! Which corner?

Oh, the street sign is excellent. It might not have worked as well with another street name, but a boarded up, run-down restaurant building on Champion... great piece of irony. Better still if the sign said Skid Row, but I don't think that is a very common streetname.

Disclaimer:

Music is posted for a short time, and while I use it in part to (hopefully, though not always) go along with the theme of the photo, I also post it in hopes someone will give it a try and fall in love with it as I have. Perhaps they will then seek out more by the artist and buy more cds. That's how it works with me, anyway. If you like it, pick it up at the store; support the artists you love.
