Excellent Dane, you should do a entire car series. Lighting is perfect and you managed to slyly stay outta the shot in the reflection a bit too (but peekaboo I still see youuuu!)
Definitely prefer Seals and Crofts over the Isley version... as that's the one that definitely reminds me of being in the backseat as a kid in the 70's, ridin' along with the windows down, summer breeze blowing through the hair. Nothing beats smooth AM of the era. But the Isley's are still bad ass too. The Heat is On ('75) was in constant rotation at my house as a kid, such a great r&b rock album and features some stunning guitar playing.
Thanks, Ang - the banner is the work of Mr. Karswell here! He does damn good work.
karswell, thank you very much! Managing to stay out of the shot was an accident. :)
"Nothing beats smooth AM of the era" - I agree, this summer I am having a real revival of that music, from the power pop of the Sweet to the mellow Seals and Crofts and Edison Lighthouse.
Music is posted for a short time, and while I use it in part to (hopefully, though not always) go along with the theme of the photo, I also post it in hopes someone will give it a try and fall in love with it as I have. Perhaps they will then seek out more by the artist and buy more cds. That's how it works with me, anyway.
If you like it, pick it up at the store; support the artists you love.
