You can read the sign two ways, as it's original name, or as "SAVE OUR MOTEL!" I hate seeing the old motels steamrolled, they'll probably replace it with a Walgreens or an Auto Zone (like the world will ever need another one of either.)

And that's an interesting observation about the name - that would never have occurred to me, and it's true, you can read it that way.
