cor blimey - that really is quite something. does it still light up? or did you ever see it aglow long ago?
To my knowledge - which is nearly nil - it doesn't, but I'd love to find out I'm wrong. I never got to see it lit either, because the first time I was ever in Springfield was only 2 years ago. :(
Lit or unlit, you could stick that in an art gallery, and maybe they should!
