Disclaimer:
Music is posted for a short time, and while I use it in part to (hopefully, though not always) go along with the theme of the photo, I also post it in hopes someone will give it a try and fall in love with it as I have. Perhaps they will then seek out more by the artist and buy more cds. That's how it works with me, anyway.
If you like it, pick it up at the store; support the artists you love.

DINO!
I know I like some questionable music…but I like me some Dino. Now “ain’t that a kick in the head”?
You know what's questionable? THINKING DINO IS QUESTIONABLE, OMG.
Dino rules.
No, no, no…I meant I was the one with questionable taste, but even I have to say I like Mr. Martin. Plus he is (was) a fellow Buckeye. I’m just saying I like cheese…but he is clearly not in that category. Hope that clears it up. Ha, ha. Plus I notice a decided Italian flare to some of the recent pictures…a theme, maybe?
Ohh ... ok. can't have Mr. Martin impugned.)
As for the Italian flare ... the area of Wheeling (and just across the river from it) is a heavily Italian area.
I've never been to Wheeling but I like to imagine as you're slowly driving over the bridge (in yesterday's photo) that you can smell pizza cooking halfway across the expanse--- Gun it!
Do I even need to mention how much I love signs like this?! THAT my friends is a sign that makes you want to eat a pie. Like right now.
Ooh, I would indeed have gunned it if I could smell the pizza form there.
Stop making me crave pizza.
And you know I agree about the excellent signage.
What a great hunk of neon.
Don't think I want to eat there, however. Judging from the sign, they don't use tomato sauce or cheese. That would be "unoriginal," right?
Either that or DiCarlo's Original is trying to differentiate themselves from crosstown rival Original DiCarlo's.
Perhaps there was a schism.
I think that place has the same kind of pizza as "Original Steubenville Pizza" (now called something else but it's the exact same place) that opened a few years ago near OSU. They cook the crust and sauce, but put on the toppings afterward, cold, unless you request otherwise. It's really good!
