Toni's

No song today. It would require my getting up to get the cd I was going to rip, and blah blah blah ... too much effort. You see, I am dying of the flu - not just any flu, more like the 1918 influenza epidemic - and sitting up to type is taking it out of me.

It was Billy Joel's "Moving Out," if you're curious.

Any Major Dude - again, thank you very kindly.

Wow, this is a crazy mish mash of Italian / Aztec or Inca or something. Very cool (I wonder what their mexican pizza tastes like?) So did you road trip recently? I've noticed lately we've breached the borders of OH.

Get well Dania, the flu bug is definitely on zee prowl! And here's a link to the Billy Joel song:

Thanks for covering me on the song, buddy, I appreciate it. It was the perfect choice of song too (for me, anyway) - my ex-fiance is from this area, he taught me how to cook pasta properly, his name is Anthony. The restaurant is Toni's, the song is Anthony's Song. It all ties together! You know, if you live in my head.

Yeah, this flu is a NASTY one and it seems to be everywhere lately. My cousin in Florida even has it. We'll see if it moves beyond 1918 influenza and moves into Captain Trips, I guess.

I didn't take one big road trip, but have been taking longer weekend day trips ... Columbus is boring me to tears lately.

I'm glad you tied the whole "Toni/Anthony" thing together, especially since I was wondering why you wouldn't choose Scenes from an Italian Restaurant instead.

The painted-on awning is nice...pure class!

I couldn't use that song in all good conscience, though, because I used it way back when I posted the picture of the Florentine's sign, and I feel guilty when I re-use songs. Not that this keeps me from doing it more than I should.

I hope you feel better soon, girl. Take good care of yourself.

I've said it before, but it's so great seeing a privately-owned restaurant rather than franchise joints. Great pic.

And, yeah, get well soon (reminds me, you ought to take a pic of your flu-ridden self and put up Hello Saferide's excessively brilliant "Get Sick Soon").

Disclaimer:

Music is posted for a short time, and while I use it in part to (hopefully, though not always) go along with the theme of the photo, I also post it in hopes someone will give it a try and fall in love with it as I have. Perhaps they will then seek out more by the artist and buy more cds. That's how it works with me, anyway. If you like it, pick it up at the store; support the artists you love.
