Receiving Vault

David Bowie - Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps)
It's October 1st, and time to kick off the Halloween season! For the next month, every post will be Halloween-related, both the songs and photos (and a few videos and recipes, too). Warning: I haunt cemeteries all year long, so there will be lots of graveyard pictures. I'll try to keep them from getting too boring, though.
And thank you yet again to my talented friend Steve (aka Karswell) who created the Halloween version of my banner as well as the original (and don't think I haven't been dying, no pun intended, to show this one off).
As usual, AEAE is only one stop on the Halloween block party, and tomorrow, I'll have a list of links to other blogs celebrating all month!

Wow, is this place ever spooky now! Good song choice, very good photo... also a good receiving vault to be trapped inside at night when the zombies start invading outside. Unless of course, the recieving vault inside has just recieved some new tenants... then it's "uh oh!" time.
31 Days to au-go-go!
Why thank you, sir! And you would know from spooky.
This is a pretty large vault, too, so it could theoretically hold plenty of um, new tenants ... the good news is, the outer room is kind of a chapel, and the inner room, where they ... receive, seems to have a lock. So you could hole up in the outer chamber for a while before the zombies broke through either door.
. . . And a Happy (all month long) Halloween to you! Wow, that is one creepy cool banner by the great Karswell. I think that Vault would be perfect for a Monster Mash!
Nice start, and I love the banner. I agree with Todd. That would be a great place for a Monster mash. Tell me what to bring.
Zombie photogs fallinz to pieces... maybe we should re-title your blog "No Eyes and Only One Ear" for this month (per the banner design?)
Wow, address or construction date included, that is one heck of a symmetrical vault.
Thanks for coming by, Todd & John! You're welcome anytime.
I don't think so, Steve - I'm kind of superstitious, and given that I'm already falling apart as it is, I don't want to tempt fate.
You know, you're right, Shawn, and I hadn't noticed that the date is also symmetrical!
This is some great work, lotsa miles to the various charnel houses! I have soem B&W shots at Greenlawn in Cee-lumbus I made last winter on my Adventure Today! Blogspot page, also one I had taken of me awhile ago in front of this Cedar Hill one, when it had older doors. Continuing with the Spooky theme, I have some Salem MA in there too. Keep up the fun!
