Music is posted for a short time, and while I use it in part to (hopefully, though not always) go along with the theme of the photo, I also post it in hopes someone will give it a try and fall in love with it as I have. Perhaps they will then seek out more by the artist and buy more cds. That's how it works with me, anyway.
If you like it, pick it up at the store; support the artists you love.

Over 50 years of BBQ--- and great signage! You should've seen this baby lit up at night! Ooooo... there was a Chris & Pitts in the San Fernando Valley that I used to eat at all the time and OMG loved, but one day I drove by and ::poof:: the whole building was gone! This looks exactly like the sign too... though at one time C&P had over a dozen locations so it could have of course come from any of the others that've closed since, they're now down to only 4 or 5 restaurants apparently, main link:

I have never seen a Chris & Pitts in the wild.
Wouldn't it be cool if this were "yours?"
I don't believe that any Chris & Pitts exist outside of southern CA.
There was another equally tremendous old school BBQ joint in The Valley just north of the 118 on Sepulveda called The Bear Pit, and they too had an awesome sign out front: http://bearpitbbq.com/
As you can see from the photo they call their BBQ "Missouri Style" which I always found funny cuz it tastes nothing like the BBQ here. Still excellent though.
