Mostly Blue

Earlier this month, I posted the Jackson Five's "I Want You Back." This instrumental jazz cover, evidently pretty rare, came out three years later and vanished undeservedly. It's both a great version of a great song, and great on its own. Take everything you know about the way the seventies sounded - horns, guitars, production - and apply it to a jazz orchestra, and that's what you have here.

I love that track!. I think it was you who gave it to me on SF.

Ah, yes. Yes it was. You loved something I gave you in that mix? I'm delighted!

I have a crazy passion for this version. I think the original is one of nature's perfect pop songs, but this one makes me even happier.

How big is the actual photo you took of this wall? I love the textures and color mix here...

What do you mean? The resolution? Thank you, I really like this one too.

Yes, the file size / resolution. Curious to see this one full size and if the textures come through.

That's soooo nice.

Disclaimer:

Music is posted for a short time, and while I use it in part to (hopefully, though not always) go along with the theme of the photo, I also post it in hopes someone will give it a try and fall in love with it as I have. Perhaps they will then seek out more by the artist and buy more cds. That's how it works with me, anyway. If you like it, pick it up at the store; support the artists you love.
