Outside St. Paris, Ohio (this place)
Just for kicks, let's do something new musically. Let's make this week all about 1981. Extra bonus points if you can guess how old I was then.

You can actually see the rise and fall of two separate businesses in this shot. It takes a special kind of laziness to just slap a top hat over the "ulf" in the old Gulf sign, so I assume the restaurant is long gone, too.
Oh, and I'm putting my bet on 11 years old. You young kids and your Canadian rock bands.
Chilliwack is another one of those bands like Argent you featured a few posts ago that were very popular in the midwest for a brief period, but after having lived in LA for the last dozen years I learned that no one out there has even heard of them, (Zebra is another great band that comes to mind.) Here in STL Chilliwack is still considered a "K-SHE Classic" though, mainly for Fly At Night.
Nice photo too... I love dueling ghost signs.
Greg, that's spooky. I was in fact 11. (Of course, the affection for a Canadian rock band totally gave it away.)
Nope, the restaurant is actually, not that you can tell from the shot I took of it, doing quite a business! I had to avoid a car pulling out of the lot, and another gentlemen saw me and was kind enough to wave me on to take the picture before backing over me. :)
Yeah, the hilarious laziness of the paint job ... love it.
Thanks, karswell! Chilliwack isn't universally beloved? That saddens me. Between this and "I Believe" I really loved them. I'm unfamiliar with Zebra.
