For those unfamiliar with it, the movie Down With Love is an homage to sixties sex comedies, two in particular. Pillow Talk's the one everyone seems to mention, but the plot's been lifted pretty much entirely from Sex And The Single Girl.
The soundtrack is entirely worth buying, but the two standout tracks are the opening theme, "Down With Love" by Michael Buble' & Holly Palmer, and the closing theme, "Here's To Love," by the stars of the movie.
"Here's To Love" is full of alcoholic double-entendre. The lyrics are certainly cute, and everything about the song comes off like the producers intended; it seems exactly as though it's the real theme to a real sixties sex comedy. McGregor & Zellweger are adorable in it, and the music's dead-on perfect. My only complaint is that the lyrics could be just a little crisper, a little less nonsensical.
But I love it anyway -- it's light and bubbly and sweet, and if it's not perfect, it's still fun.
Cheers!

Believe it or not, I've never seen this movie all the way through. I suck at my Ewan fangirling.
Ooh, Katesti, it's so cute, and he never looked better.
